BCA Financial Services left a voicemail threatening to 'send someone over' – I'm genuinely scared

I never thought I'd be posting something like this, but I don't know where else to turn. BCA Financial Services has been after me for weeks about an old medical bill I don't even remember. I asked them to mail me proof of the debt, and they completely ignored my request.

Then yesterday, they left me a voicemail that crossed the line. The collector said, "If you don't resolve this today, we will have no choice but to send someone over to your home or workplace to discuss this in person." He said it in a really cold, threatening tone. I have two young kids at home. I didn't sleep last night.

I thought debt collectors couldn't threaten things like that. I found this article that breaks down what counts as illegal harassment, and it says threats of physical visits or pretending to be law enforcement are serious violations.

I saved the voicemail. I have call logs showing they've called me 8 to 10 times a day for two weeks. I also never got that written notice they're supposed to send within five days of first contact.

Is this worth talking to a lawyer about? I can't afford to pay anyone upfront, but the article says some firms take these cases without legal fees from me. I just want them to stop scaring my family. Any advice would mean the world to me right now.
